Bug Fix
This release corrects a minor firmware issue affecting the Vol- and Vol+ keys on LegalType 1.1 keyboards sold prior to August 2026.
If you would like to restore the intended functionality of the Vol- and Vol+ keys, please follow the instructions below to import our firmware patch using Keychron Launcher.
What’s New
Previously, the Vol- key was hardcoded to cycle through backlight settings. We have moved that functionality to the Fn layer, freeing the Vol- and Vol+ keys in the base layer to provide their originally intended volume-control functions.
Installation Instructions
- Connect your keyboard to your computer using a USB cable.
- Visit the Keychron Launcher website.
- Click Import.
- Download Keymap-C2 Pro V2 White-16-17-47 Wired Keyboard Layout.
- Import the downloaded file into Keychron Launcher and follow the on-screen instructions.
Important: You may see a link to a general firmware update. Please do not use that update. The patch described above is all that is required.
The troubleshooting process should take approximately 1–2 minutes per keyboard. Once completed, the Vol- and Vol+ keys will function as intended. All other keyboard features will remain unchanged.
